Does my child use the app?+
No. SnuggleShelf is for grown-ups. Your little one just gets the story. Logging a reread takes one tap after lights out.
How do you estimate words read aloud?+
When someone has counted a book, we use that count. Otherwise we use a typical count for the kind of book, about 140 words for a board book and 230 for a picture book, and label it as an estimate. Rereads count every time, because hearing a story again is good for kids. Books we cannot estimate stay blank instead of guessing.
Can both parents log to the same shelf?+
Yes. Invite a partner, a grandparent or the sitter with a link. Everyone logs to one shared family shelf, and a story read to two kids at once counts for both of them.
What do you collect about my child?+
A nickname and a rough age, nothing more. No birthdays, no photos, no location, no ads, and we never sell data.
Do I need to create an account?+
No. You can start logging right away. Add an email when you want to save your shelf and sign in on another phone.
